Packing for New Zealand should be really easy.....
I am finding myself putting it off with the belief that I have nothing to worry about mate and just pack the essentials: shorts, tshirts, sandals and sun tan lotion(SP 50)
I can't help to think that my style of clothes will be completely different than what might be worn in NZ. I think I will have to ask my resident pal Kirk to find out more.
I will pack a pair of jeans and a couple nice shirts, but for the most part I plan on having swim trunks, shorts and some sort of T on most of the time....
Any suggestions?!?
Hi - its Kellie (Sue Stark's daughter).
ReplyDeleteEverything here is casual - and per the surf brands more than a preppy look. So think board shorts and t-shirts... sandals (they call them jandals) are optional, and you will actually see people grocery shopping etc barefoot.
If you plan on a few nice dinners out - jeans, nice shoes and a collared shirt will do you fine.
Key things to bring: lots of sunscreen (we have the harshest sun I have ever experienced and sunscreen is $20 per small bottle) and a hat.
Have a good time!
